1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Back Bencher Class. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a plain-language agreement between you (the "Student," "User," or "you") and Back Bencher Class ("we," "us," "our," or the "Platform") that govern your access to and use of our website, including all tools such as the Study Generator, Scan & Solve, Timetable Planner, Flashcards, Paper Generator, and the Daily 10 question sets (collectively, the "Services"). By visiting this website, opening any page, or clicking any button that generates a quiz, summary, PYQ set, timetable, flashcard, or question paper, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If, for any reason, you do not agree with any part of these Terms, we kindly ask that you stop using the Services immediately.

Back Bencher Class is intended for students of Class 9 through Class 12, undergraduate and postgraduate college and university students, and anyone using our tools for personal educational revision. There is no sign-up, login, or payment required to use the core Services, and we intend to keep it that way. Because access is free and open, it is important that everyone using the Platform plays fair and follows these Terms so the experience stays smooth, safe, and useful for every other student relying on it. We may, from time to time, introduce optional features that require some form of registration; if we do, separate terms specific to that feature will be presented to you at that time and will supplement, not replace, this document.

You confirm, by using this Platform, that you are using it for legitimate educational and personal study purposes, and that any information you type into our tools (such as your class, subject, board, or chapter name) is provided voluntarily and does not include sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to generate study material.

2. Intellectual Property

The Back Bencher Class name, logo, website design, layout, source code, and the overall "look and feel" of the Platform are the property of Back Bencher Class and are protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, resell, or redistribute the Platform's design, branding, or underlying code for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

That said, the study material generated through our tools — quizzes, chapter summaries, PYQ sets, important-question lists, flashcards, and timetables — is provided to you free of charge and is granted for your personal and educational use. You are welcome to:

• Download, print, screenshot, or save any material generated for your own revision.
• Share generated material with your classmates, friends, or study group for non-commercial, educational purposes.
• Use the generated content as a study aid alongside your textbooks, notes, and classroom teaching.

You may not repackage, rebrand, or resell content generated by Back Bencher Class as your own commercial product, nor may you use automated means to bulk-generate and republish our output as a competing study platform or database. All generated content is offered "as is," for study support, and does not transfer any ownership rights beyond the personal, non-commercial use described above.

3. AI Tool Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

By using our tools, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• No guarantee of accuracy: All AI-generated content on Back Bencher Class is provided for revision and practice purposes only. We do not guarantee that any quiz question, answer, formula, date, definition, or summary is completely accurate, current, or aligned with your specific board's, university's, or teacher's exact syllabus and marking scheme.
• Cross-check before you rely on it: You must independently verify any critical formula, fact, date, definition, or concept against your official textbook, class notes, syllabus document, or your teacher before relying on it for an exam, assignment, or any graded work. Treat our tools as a practice companion, not a replacement for your prescribed study material.
• No responsibility for exam results: Back Bencher Class, its creators, and its operators are not responsible or liable, in any way, for your marks, grades, exam performance, admission outcomes, or any academic consequence that results from using, misusing, or relying on content generated by our tools. Your exam result depends on many factors beyond our control, including your own preparation, your institution's syllabus and evaluation standards, and factors specific to your exam.
• Photo Scan tool limitations: The Scan & Solve feature interprets images of handwritten or printed questions using AI recognition, which can misread unclear handwriting, poor lighting, cropped text, or unusual symbols. Always double-check the recognized question and the generated solution against the original question paper.
• No professional or academic advice: Nothing generated by Back Bencher Class constitutes professional educational counselling, official board guidance, or a substitute for instruction from a qualified teacher.
• "As is" and "as available": The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
• Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Back Bencher Class and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Services — including but not limited to loss of marks, loss of study time, exam disqualification, or any emotional or academic distress.

In short: think of Back Bencher Class as a smart, fast, always-available study buddy sitting next to you on the last bench — genuinely useful for practice, revision, and quick understanding, but not infallible. The final responsibility for verifying facts and preparing for your exams rests with you.

4. User Conduct

To keep Back Bencher Class fast, free, and available for every student, we ask that you use the Platform responsibly. When using the Services, you agree that you will not:

• Use bots, scripts, scrapers, crawlers, or any automated means to extract, mine, or bulk-download content from the Platform beyond normal, individual, interactive use.
• Send an excessive or abnormal volume of requests to our generators (quiz, summary, PYQ, paper generator, or scan tool) in a manner intended to overload, disrupt, or degrade the Service for other students.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or probe the underlying systems, prompts, or infrastructure that power our AI tools for the purpose of misuse, resale, or circumventing these Terms.
• Use the Platform to generate, upload, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Use the Scan & Solve, quiz, or paper generator tools to facilitate cheating during a live, invigilated examination or test.
• Misrepresent the source of generated content by presenting it as officially issued by a school board, university, or examination authority.
• Attempt to interfere with, disable, or bypass any security, rate-limiting, or access-control measures we put in place to protect the Platform.

We reserve the right to restrict, throttle, or block access to any user or IP address that we reasonably believe is engaging in scraping, abuse, or misuse of the generators, without prior notice, in order to protect the Service for the wider student community.

5. Changes to These Terms

We may update or revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or general improvements to the Platform. Whenever we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Back Bencher Class after any changes to these Terms have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to check this page periodically so you are always aware of the current rules governing your use of the Platform.

If a specific provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
